Straight talk about your data
We collect as little as possible, we use it only for what you contacted us about, and we never sell it. Here's exactly what that means.
If you message us, we use your details to reply, nothing more. If you fill out the research survey, your email is optional and everything is used to understand patterns across businesses, never to build a profile of you. We may publish what we learn, but only as aggregate findings or anonymized excerpts, never tied to your company or name. Want your information removed? Email us and it's gone.
Who we are
Corvara Systems is a technology company based in Northern Arizona. This policy covers information collected through corvarasystems.com. Questions about anything here go to [email protected].
What we collect
When you contact us. The contact form and the occasional prompt ask for your name, email, and optionally your phone, company, and a message describing what you're trying to improve. You choose what to put in it.
When you answer the research survey. The survey asks about your industry, rough headcount, the tools your work runs on, what frustrates you about them, and what's still not digital. Every field is optional, including your email, which we only ask for if you want the findings sent back to you. Leave it blank and we have no way to reach you, which is entirely fine.
Automatically. Like any website, our host records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, in standard server logs used to keep the site running and secure. We don't use this to identify you.
How we use it
- To read and personally reply to what you send us.
- To understand, in aggregate, where software is failing real operations, which is the entire point of the research survey.
- To keep the site working, secure, and free of spam.
We do not send marketing drip campaigns, we won't add you to a newsletter you didn't ask for, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Publishing what we learn
The research survey exists so we can share what we find. If we ever publish, write about, or otherwise use survey responses in our own content, we do so only as aggregate patterns (for example, "most machine shops still track jobs on paper") or as anonymized excerpts with identifying details removed. A published response is never attributed to a specific company, individual, or account, and we won't include a quote that could reasonably identify you.
Who we share it with
We keep a short list of service providers who process data on our behalf, and only what they need to do their job:
- Web3Forms delivers form and survey submissions to our inbox. See the Web3Forms privacy policy.
- Google hosts the spreadsheet where survey responses are collected for analysis, and serves the site's web font. See Google's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and handles security and delivery. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, but we'll push back on anything overbroad.
Cookies & local storage
We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site stores a small value in your browser's local storage to remember how long you've been reading and whether you've already dismissed the contact prompt, so we don't show it again too soon. It stays on your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
How long we keep it
We keep messages and survey responses for as long as they're useful for replying to you and for the research, and no longer than we need them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we'll take care of it. Just email [email protected] from the address you used, or describe the submission, and we'll find it.
Children
This is a business site not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be obvious.
